Job summary

Heka Hoods on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, is seeking a Fabrication Labourer to perform high-quality QA checks and assist in aluminium fabrication. You will read simple workshop drawings, verify measurements, and help prepare surfaces for powder coating within a supportive team.

The role requires a readiness to lift up to 20kg, a detail-focused mindset, and commitment to safety and timely delivery in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experienced Labourer or a similar role in a manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
• Experience using an industrial guillotine is highly regarded.
• Fit and capable of lifting loads up to 20kgs.
• A strong attention to detail.
• Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
• Taking care and pride in your work.
• You are a collaborative team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Skill to meet daily deadlines/KPIs and work proactively.
• Ability to comply with Workplace Health and Safety Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting basic workshop drawings and comparing to finished product for accuracy of measurements and angles.
• Evaluating the quality of workmanship.
• Use an orbital sander and other hand tools to prepare aluminium for powder coating.
• Lifting and manoeuvring sheet metal (up to 20kg).
• Adhering to all safety and quality assurance procedures.
