Civmec, an Australian-owned heavy engineering and construction specialist, is recruiting a Fabrication Engineer for its Tomago manufacturing site. You will drive fabrication solutions across large-scale structural steel, mechanical and modular scopes, coordinating with clients and workshop teams.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Exposure to fabrication or manufacturing environments required.
• 3+ years' experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong planning and scheduling, cost control abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients on technical queries, inspections, scheduling and deliveries.
• Review drawings and specifications to develop fabrication solutions and shop drawings.
• Prepare material take-offs, work packs and as-built documentation.
• Manage engineering change requests and design revisions.
• Provide technical support to workshop teams and resolve fabrication issues.
• Monitor project progress and maintain fabrication schedules.
• Prepare weekly progress and performance reports.
• Ensure documentation meets quality, safety and project requirements.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Support the delivery of multiple fabrication projects in a fast-paced environment.
