Job summary

Cleared is seeking an experienced F5 Engineer to support a large-scale F5 hardware refresh program within a highly secure enterprise environment. You will join a specialist Professional Services team to lead planning, implementation, testing and migration of F5 infrastructure while providing ongoing operational support.

Qualifications

• F5 BIG-IP LTM, DNS/GTM and APM experience required.
• Experience delivering F5 hardware replacement and migration projects.
• Strong knowledge of SSL, certificates and security best practices.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work within secure government environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver F5 hardware refresh and migration activities.
• Develop implementation, validation, testing and cutover plans.
• Create rollback procedures and contingency plans.
• Install, configure and support F5 BIG-IP platforms.
• Configure and manage LTM, DNS/GTM and APM services.
• Perform rack and stack, cabling, licensing and initial platform configuration.
• Configure load balancing services, SSL profiles, virtual servers, pools and monitors.
• Conduct high availability, failover, backup and recovery testing.
• Troubleshoot platform, network and application delivery issues.
• Work closely with network, security and infrastructure teams during project delivery.
• Produce as-built documentation and operational runbooks.
• Deliver knowledge transfer and mentoring to operational support teams.
• Support incident resolution, software maintenance and platform optimisation activities.
