Job summary

Cleared is seeking an experienced F5 Engineer to support a large-scale F5 hardware refresh program within a highly secure enterprise environment. You will join a specialist Professional Services team to lead planning, implementation, testing and migration of F5 infrastructure while providing ongoing operational support.

Qualifications

• F5 BIG-IP LTM, DNS/GTM and APM experience required.
• Experience delivering F5 hardware replacement and migration projects.
• Strong knowledge of SSL, certificates and security best practices.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work within secure government environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver F5 hardware refresh and migration activities.

• Create rollback procedures and contingency plans.

• Produce as-built documentation and operational runbooks.
• Deliver knowledge transfer and mentoring to operational support teams.

Education / Certifications Required

• F5 Certified Administrator (F5-CA) or equivalent certification highly regarded.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline desirable.

Knowledge / Skills Required

• Strong experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM, DNS/GTM and APM.
• Proven experience delivering F5 hardware replacement and migration projects.
• Experience with load balancing, application delivery and traffic management.
• Strong knowledge of SSL, certificates and security best practices.
• Experience with high availability, failover, backup and disaster recovery solutions.Solid understanding of data centre networking concepts.
• Experience with VLANs, routing, switching and firewall integration.
• Exposure to Cisco networking technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within secure government environments.
• Experience supporting both project-based and BAU operational activities.
