Job summary

Accor's Ibis Adelaide is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Attendant to deliver exceptional service in our busy dining and bar areas in Adelaide, Australia. This casual role offers exposure to a vibrant hospitality team and the chance to develop service skills across dine-in and events.

You will handle orders, maintain a clean service area, observe food safety standards, manage POS transactions, and assist with stock and setup during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Service-focused personality with a passion for F&B excellence.
• Experience in a food and beverage service role or similar hospitality position.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, or demonstrated ability to obtain certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests and team members.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Barista skills and experience (preferred).
• Ability to multitask effectively and manage time efficiently during busy service periods.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
• Current work rights in Australia.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining individual accountability.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests with professionalism and a friendly demeanor, ensuring exceptional service standards
• Maintain accurate docket entry and POS system management, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly and closed off promptly
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to guarantee the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and timely delivery
• Uphold rigorous food safety and hygiene protocols during all food service operations
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing bar and restaurant areas in accordance with opening, closing, and daily procedures
• Assist with stock control, inventory management, and room setup as needed
• Address guest inquiries and concerns with empathy and problem-solving skills, ensuring satisfaction and brand consistency
• Work efficiently during peak service periods while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Support team members in a collaborative and inclusive environment, contributing to overall operational success
