Job summary

Crawford is seeking an External Claims Adjuster to manage a diverse portfolio of commercial and domestic property claims across the Orange region from notification to settlement, applying property expertise, investigation and problem-solving to deliver positive customer outcomes.

You will work with an autonomous regional team, enjoy hybrid work, and develop your claims capability while making a visible difference in the local community.

Qualifications

• Experience in loss adjusting, claims management, property, construction, building or trades.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and report-writing skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions.
• Customer-focused approach with empathy and professionalism.
• Current driver’s licence and Australian/New Zealand work rights.
• Willingness to complete a police check and continue developing your expertise.
• Insurance knowledge or CILA/ANZIIF membership desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage property claims from notification through to settlement.
• Inspect damage, investigate causes and assess losses.
• Review coverage and make sound settlement recommendations.
• Coordinate trades, specialists and service providers.
• Manage reserves, costs and claim documentation.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain accurate records.
• Deliver timely, compliant and customer-focused outcomes.
