Job summary

The Aveo Sanctuary Retirement Living in Caboolture is seeking a Personal Care Attendant to provide in-home support to residents. You’ll assist with personal care, social activities, and daily tasks while following individual care plans.

Join a friendly, community-focused team and help residents maintain independence and wellbeing through compassionate care, safe practices and proactive communication with residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or Home Care Worker.
• Strong communication skills with residents.
• Friendly, adaptable and proactive attitude in community care.
• Valid driver’s licence and vehicle.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate and two COVID-19 vaccinations.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home support including personal hygiene, medication, house cleaning, laundry.
• Interact with residents in their homes or in the community with daily activities.
• Tailor care to residents' needs following care plans.
• Complete simple administration and keep resident notes up to date.
• Follow Aveo OH&S policies and report safety incidents.

The Opportunity

The Sanctuary Retirement Livingoffers a secure and welcoming community, conveniently located north of Brisbane. Residents enjoy a connected lifestyle with modern villas, vibrant social activities, and easy access to shops, transport and recreation facilities.As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality personal care, social support and daily assistance to residents within their Aveo home. Our Personal Care Attendants have a strong focus on wellbeing, promoting independence, building social connection and assisting with day-to-day tasks.

Your Impact

• Work independently within resident units to provide in-home support including personal hygiene, medication, house cleaning, laundry and more!

• Interact with residents within their homes or spend time out in the community completing daily activities (e.g driving them to appointments or light exercise)

• Provide care, tailored to the resident's needs in line with their current care plans

• Complete simple administration tasks, ensuring resident notes are up to date

• Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety, security and resident incidents

What you'll bring

• Experience as a Support Worker or a Home Care Worker, with a passion for community care, independence and wellbeing

• Friendly, adaptable and proactive attitude, with a passion for being part of a community environment

• Strong communication skills, with a genuine ability to build meaningful connections with residents

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance (required)

• Valid driver’s licence + vehicle (required)

• Current First Aid & CPR certificate and two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
