Job summary

Aveo is hiring a Personal Care Attendant at Minkara Resort in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. You’ll deliver high-quality in-home care, social support and daily assistance to residents, promoting independence and social connection in a compassionate community setting.

Experience in aged care and a valid Certificate III/IV in Aged Care are required, along with a driver’s license and current First Aid & CPR. Sleepover shifts and weekday/Sunday rates apply within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or Home Care Worker with a passion for community care.
• Friendly, adaptable attitude and ability to build connections with residents.
• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance required.

Responsibilities

• Work independently within resident units to provide in-home support including personal hygiene, medication, house cleaning, laundry and more.
• Interact with residents within their homes or in the community driving them to appointments or activities.
• Provide care tailored to the resident's needs in line with current care plans.
• Complete simple administration tasks, ensuring resident notes are up to date.
• Follow Aveo OH&S policies and report safety, security and resident incidents.

The Opportunity

Minkara Resort is in the heart of Sydney’s Northern Beaches with stunning views over Bayview and Mona Vale. Set over 30 acres, the community creates a tranquil setting for low-maintenance retirement. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality personal care, social support and daily assistance to residents within their Aveo home. Our Personal Care Attendants have a strong focus on wellbeing, promoting independence, building social connection and assisting with day-to-day tasks.

Schedule

• Week 1: Sunday (3pm-9pm followed by a sleepover shift until 7am the following morning)
• Week 2: Tuesday (3pm-9pm followed by a sleepover shift until 7am the following morning) and Sunday (3pm-9pm followed by a sleepover shift until 7am the following morning)

Your Impact

• Work independently within resident units to provide in-home support including personal hygiene, medication, house cleaning, laundry and more!
• Interact with residents within their homes or spend time out in the community completing daily activities (e.g driving them to appointments or light exercise)
• Provide care, tailored to the resident's needs in line with their current care plans
• Complete simple administration tasks, ensuring resident notes are up to date
• Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety, security and resident incidents

What You'll Bring

• Experience as a Support Worker or a Home Care Worker, with a passion for community care, independence and wellbeing
• Friendly, adaptable and proactive attitude, with a passion for being part of a community environment
• Strong communication skills, with a genuine ability to build meaningful connections with residents
• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance (required)
• Valid driver’s licence + vehicle (required)
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate (required)

What We Offer

• Weekday Rate: $36.23/hr+ superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
• Sunday Rate: $63.40/hr + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
