Exploration Field Assistant | Bendigo | 6-Month Contract

Join a Team Pursuing Major Mineral Discoveries

Falcon Metals (ASX: FAL) is a well-funded mineral exploration company focused on creating shared value through major mineral discoveries. With three diamond rigs operating at the Blue Moon Gold Project in the northern extension of the historic Bendigo Goldfield, this is an opportunity to be part of an active exploration program supporting the next phase of drilling and project growth.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Exploration Field Assistant to join our Bendigo-based team and support exploration activities across Victoria.

About the role

This is a practical, hands-on role supporting Falcon's exploration activities across Victoria. You will work closely with geologists, assisting with drill core processing, core cutting, sampling, field activities, site logistics and rehabilitation. The role is primarily focused on the Blue Moon Gold Project and other Victorian exploration programs, with opportunities to contribute to projects elsewhere in Australia. Unlike many exploration roles, this position is primarily Monday to Friday, allowing you to be home most nights while working on an active exploration program. Some regional and remote field campaigns may require travel and rostered periods away from home.

Key responsibilities

• Assist geologists with sampling and field activities

• Process, photograph and cut diamond drill core

• Collect and manage handheld XRF geochemical data

• Prepare geological samples for dispatch and analysis

• Assist with geological mapping and exploration programs

• Assist with site setup, rehabilitation and field logistics

• Operate and maintain field equipment and vehicles

• Maintain safe, clean and organised work areas

About you

• Currently reside in the Bendigo region

• Enjoy working outdoors in varying conditions

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail

• Good literacy, numeracy and organisational skills

• Reliable, practical and willing to learn

• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role, including manual handling and outdoor work

• Current Australian driver's licence

• Right to work in Australia

• Desirable: Previous exploration or field-based experience

• Desirable: Heavy Rigid (HR) truck licence or Forklift licence

Benefits

• Gain hands-on experience in mineral exploration

• Work on an active gold exploration project with strong discovery potential

• Learn directly from geologists and experienced exploration professionals

• Contribute to projects across Victoria and Australia

• Competitive salary and the opportunity to develop practical exploration skills

• Potential for contract extension based on project requirements and performance
