Job summary

Ramelius Resources Limited is seeking a geologist to plan, run and supervise field exploration programmes, helping find the next generation of drill targets.

You will lead field programmes, support Field Technicians and drilling contractors, ensure compliance with tenure, heritage, and safety rules, and interpret data to identify new drill targets. This is a FIFO role from Perth with an 8/6 roster and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• A degree in Geology, Geological Science or similar.
• Experience in mineral exploration or mine production geology.
• Sound understanding of mining, health and safety, heritage and tenure legislation.
• Clear communication across field teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Running field programmes, including mapping, sampling and drill logging.
• Directing and supporting Field Technicians and drilling contractors in the field.
• Keeping field work compliant with tenure, heritage, and health and safety requirements.
• Interpreting data, reporting results and helping identify new drill targets.

The Role

Reporting To The Senior Exploration Geologist, You Will Plan, Run And Supervise Field Exploration Programmes And Help Find The Next Generation Of Quality Drill Targets, Including

• Running field programmes, including mapping, sampling and drill logging
• Directing and supporting Field Technicians and drilling contractors in the field
• Keeping field work compliant with tenure, heritage, and health and safety requirements
• Interpreting data, reporting results and helping identify new drill targets

About You

We’re Looking For Someone Who Brings

• A degree in Geology, Geological Science or similar
• Experience in mineral exploration or mine production geology
• A working understanding of mining, health and safety, heritage and tenure legislation
• Sound organisation and time management, with clear communication across field teams and contractors
• A current West Australian C Class (manual) driver’s licence and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance.
