Coast Marine Covers is seeking an experienced upholsterer to join our Gold Coast team. You’ll handle a range of upholstery and soft-furnishing tasks for boats moored at The Boat Works, Coomera, bringing varied workload and autonomy to your day.

We value pattern-making and sewing skills, with experience in vinyl and marine fabrics. The role is full-time with an immediate start and opportunities to contribute to a well-established local business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an upholsterer (marine, automotive, furniture or commercial)
• Strong pattern-making and sewing skills with vinyl, marine-grade canvas, foam and leather
• Able to pass a drug and alcohol test and work independently
• Australian citizen or permanent resident or have full work rights with no restrictions

Responsibilities

Experienced Upholsterer Wanted - Start ASAP

Coast Marine Covers is a Gold Coast marine trimming business based at The Boat Works, Coomera. We specialise in custom marine covers, flybridge clears, upholstery, carpets, linings and stainless steel framework for private boat owners across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern NSW working on everything from family runabouts to superyachts.

We're a small, close-knit team with real trade depth, and we're looking for an experienced upholsterer to join us immediately, full-time.

About the role

You’ll be working hands-on across a wide variety of upholstery and soft-furnishing jobs from full interior re-trims to custom seating and cushion work for boats mooured at one of the Gold Coast's busiest marine precincts. Every job is different, and you'll have autonomy to bring your trade skills to a genuinely varied workload.

What you’ll bring

Proven experience as an upholsterer (marine, automotive, furniture or commercial - we're open to background, as long as the skills transfer)

Strong pattern-making and sewing skills, and confidence working with vinyl, marine-grade canvas, foam and leather

A sharp eye for detail and pride in producing quality, client-ready work

Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team

Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test

Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or hold full working rights with no restrictions — we are unable to offer visa sponsorship
