Job summary

Banksia Group Pty Ltd seeks an experienced Underground Deputy to join our renewed contract. You will supervise mining operations, lead a team, promote a strong safety culture, and ensure targets are met across day and night shifts.

The role requires a current Deputy certificate of competency or mutual recognition, adherence to Order 43 medical, and a proactive, flexible approach. Accommodation is provided with full-time positions and entitlements.

Qualifications

• Current Deputy certificate of competency or mutual recognition qualification.
• Practising Deputy Certificate.
• Order 43 medical current or willingness to obtain.

About the job Experienced Underground Deputy

Banksia Group Pty Ltd is a leading service provider to the Underground and Open Cut Mining Industry. We pride ourselves in looking after our employees and our clients.
We are currently seeking experienced Deputies for the following positions of our renewed contract on:
- Attractive even time roster 7 on 7 off on DAY shift
- 4/3 NIGHT shift

Desirable Skills &Expereience:

• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine
• Sound planning, organisation and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to meet targets
• Proven experience in a supervisory role
• Strong management and leadership capability
• Demonstrated technical & operational ability in a similar mining environment

Mandatory Requirements:

• A current Deputy certificate of competency, or mutual recognition qualification
• Practising Deputy Certificate
• Current, or willingness to obtain, Order 43 medical

In addition to the above, you will have a genuine commitment to safety and demonstrate a sound understanding of risk and hazard identification.
You will be an exceptional team member with a flexible attitude and sound work ethic.
