Job summary

Coburg Structural Steel is seeking a competent Boilermaker with solid structural steel fabrication experience. The role covers both workshop fabrication and on-site installation in Melbourne's northern suburbs, with occasional site leadership duties.

You will read drawings, perform oxy/saw cutting, weld with mig/arc, and operate site tools and an overhead crane. Team-minded individuals who can work unsupervised are invited to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience reading shop drawings and working with structural steel.
• Proven ability to lay out components for welding and machining.
• Demonstrated welding proficiency and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Read shop drawings and perform oxy/saw cutting.
• Lay out components for welding using mig/arc welder.
• Operate an overhead crane safely and efficiently.
• Install and erect structural steel on-site per specs.
• Lead small on-site crews while performing fabrication tasks.
• Maintain site safety and housekeeping.
