Job summary

Burra Fabrication is seeking a skilled Boilermaker/Fabricator to join our team on a full-time basis in Pakenham, VIC. You will fabricate and assemble Structural Steel and Architectural Metal Products, reading and interpreting drawings to ensure precise fabrication and high-quality outputs.

You will operate welding and fabrication equipment (MIG, TIG, stick), perform inspections, and maintain safety standards while collaborating with team members on diverse projects across the Victorian region.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or apprenticeship completed.
• Proven boilermaker/fabricator experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Knowledge of Structural Steel and Architectural Metal products.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble Structural Steel, Architectural Metal Products, and other metal components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment (MIG, TIG, stick).
• Perform inspections and quality checks for conformance to standards.
• Prepare materials for fabrication: marking, cutting, positioning.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workplace; adhere to safety protocols.
• Document work performed and keep accurate fabrication records.
