Job summary

BallyCara is seeking Experienced Qualified Support Workers to join our Support at Home team, helping older Australians stay independent and connected in their own homes across Bribie Island, Deception Bay, Burpengary and surrounding areas.

Work 8am–1pm, 4–5 days per week with availability 8am–4pm. You’ll travel between clients, deliver practical and personal care, and build meaningful relationships within a supportive team.

• Compassionate and reliable front-line care for older adults.
• Ability to work independently in community settings.
• Strong communication with clients and care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and mobility assistance.
• Prepare meals and provide domestic support.

Job Description

As a Support Worker, you’ll provide practical and personal support that helps our clients maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

• Providing personal care and mobility assistance

• Supporting clients to remain socially connected
• Encouraging clients to achieve their personal goals
• Building positive, respectful relationships with clients and their families
• Working closely with the care team to deliver safe, high-quality support

It could be helping someone get ready for the day, preparing their favourite meal, taking them shopping or simply having a conversation over a cup of tea.

Is this you?

We’re looking for people who are compassionate, reliable and genuinely enjoy working with older people.

You’ll need:

• Availability Monday–Friday between 8am–4pm
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or Community)
• Previous experience in community or aged care support
• A warm, respectful and relationship-focused approach
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A current Australian Driver’s Licence
• A reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
• Current First Aid & CPR
• National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one through BallyCara
• COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations are highly recommended.
