Job summary

LBP Plumbing and Drainage Pty Ltd is seeking an Experienced Excavator Operator for a Bargara, Queensland project. You will work with the commercial plumbing and hydraulic team to carry out excavation and trenching for underground services.

Key duties include operating excavators, trenching, reading site plans, backfilling and ensuring safety at all times. You must have a Construction White Card and a current driver’s license and be able to reach the Bargara site reliably.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated excavator operating experience.
• Construction White Card.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Experience excavating around underground services.
• Understanding of trenching and excavation safety requirements.
• Ability to read plans and work to levels.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and associated plant on site.
• Trench for underground plumbing and hydraulic services.
• Read and interpret site plans and elevations.
• Backfill and prepare the site after works.
• Perform daily plant pre-start inspections.
• Maintain a safe and tidy work area on site.
• Coordinate with plumbers, supervisors and other trades.
