Job summary

Kirinari Community Services in Queensland seeks a dedicated support worker to create a consistent, reassuring environment while remaining flexible to changing needs. You’ll help clients stay independent by maintaining routines and participating in home and community activities.

This role requires empathy, meticulous documentation and the ability to follow detailed plans. You’ll receive thorough onboarding, paid buddy shifts and ongoing coaching, with opportunities to develop complex-support

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Current Driver Licence.
• First Aid & CPR or willingness to obtain.
• Australian working rights.
• Availability across a 24/7 roster.
• Experience supporting complex or changing needs.
• Ability to follow detailed routines and support plans consistently.
• Strong observation, documentation and incident-reporting skills.
• Willingness to complete all customer-specific training.
• Commitment to privacy, dignity, professional boundaries and safe practice.

• Follow the Behaviour Support Plan and approved regulated restrictive-practice procedures
• Implement fluid-management strategies exactly as documented
• Record all fluid intake accurately and consistently
• Recognise and report changes in behaviour, sleep, health or wellbeing
• Complete detailed progress notes, incident reports and required data Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Refer family concerns through the appropriate leadership channels
• Respond safely to behaviours that may present a risk to the customer or workers
