Job summary

Peninsula Kubota on the Mornington Peninsula is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our Service Department. You will service, repair and diagnose Kubota agricultural and construction machinery with pride and accuracy.

You’ll work in a modern workshop, enjoy ongoing factory training and have the security of a long-term, full-time role with a respected Kubota dealer. A strong work ethic and independent problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical field.
• 3–5 years experience as a Diesel Technician or Mechanic.
• Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Experience with agricultural or construction machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing agricultural and construction machinery.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Troubleshooting complex equipment issues with diagnostic equipment.
• Carrying out engine, transmission and hydraulic repairs and overhauls.
• Performing workshop-based and on-site servicing and repairs.
• Completing accurate job cards and service documentation.
• Ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Working with Service and Parts teams to deliver great customer service.

EXPERIENCED DIESEL TECHNICIAN / DIESEL MECHANIC

Peninsula Kubota is a privately owned, long-established Kubota 5 Star Dealer, specialising in market-leading agricultural, construction and grounds care equipment.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our Service Department.

About the Role

Working with a diverse range of Kubota equipment, including tractors, excavators, compact track loaders, RTVs and agricultural machinery, your responsibilities will include:

Servicing, maintaining and repairing agricultural and construction machinery.

Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.

Troubleshooting complex equipment issues using modern diagnostic equipment.

Carrying out engine, transmission and hydraulic system repairs and overhauls.

Performing workshop-based and on-site servicing and repairs.

Completing accurate job cards and service documentation.

Ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Working closely with our Service and Parts teams to deliver excellent customer service.

About You

We are looking for an experienced technician who can work independently, demonstrate initiative and consistently deliver quality workmanship.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

A recognised mechanical trade qualification.

Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a qualified Diesel Mechanic or Technician.

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical systems.

Previous experience with agricultural or construction machinery (highly regarded).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Strong work ethic, reliability and a positive attitude.

Current driver's license.

Previous Kubota experience is highly regarded but not essential. Experienced technicians from agricultural, earthmoving, heavy vehicle or related mechanical industries are encouraged to apply.
