Job summary

Skilled Jobs Australia is seeking experienced cooks for a cabin accommodation and restaurant provider. The role focuses on food preparation and presentation to total customer satisfaction.

You will prepare, season and cook food to hotel requirements, examine foods for quality, operate ovens/grills, and plate dishes with sauces and salads. AQF Cert III/IV or 3+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must have AQF Cert III in Cookery with at least two years' relevant experience or AQF Cert IV.
• Alternatively, minimum of three years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season and cook food to hotels requirements.
• Examine foods to ensure quality.
• Turn on, and regulate oven temperatures, grills and other cooking equipment.
• Prepare food for cooking and portion food for plating.
• Season food for cooking.
• Plate dishes with sauces, gravies and salads for presentation.
• Store food and maintain storage facilities.
• Assist in planning menus with chefs.
• Assist staff training in similar role.
