Job summary

Corio Bay Innovators Inc trading as dal Cafe and Catering in Geelong, VIC is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team. You will prepare meals for our cafe and catering customers and support young adults with disability in a busy kitchen.

This role requires a minimum of 2 years' cook experience, strong knowledge of food safety, teamwork and excellent customer service. Weekdays 7:30am to 3:00pm in a friendly social enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Cook in a fast-paced cafe and/or catering environment.
• Strong working knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and health & safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Certification in Food Safety Handling is desirable.
• A genuine interest in supporting and developing the skills of young adults with disability.

Responsibilities

We are seeking experienced and talented Cooks to join our team at dal Cafe and Catering in Geelong, VIC. You will play a vital role in the kitchen, preparing delicious meals for our cafe and catering customers. As an experienced Cook, you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of all menu items to our high standards.

This position requires availability for weekdays only between 7.30am and 3.00pm

What you'll be doing

Providing hands-on training, guidance and support to young adults with disability in a commercial kitchen environment

Preparing and cooking a variety of meals using fresh, high-quality ingredients

What we're looking for
