Job summary

Nova Civil in Australia is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead civil groundworks and services, with a focus on night shifts for the initial six months.

This hands-on, site-based role supports multiple projects, working closely with Project Managers to ensure delivery from start to handover, across office and on-site environments.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in Civil Engineering, Sydney Water exposure, and strong leadership with a practical, pressurized-working approach.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience as a Civil Engineer.
• Seasoned Sydney Water and drainage exposure preferred.
• Trade or tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Proven leadership and man-management skills.
• High competency with OH&S standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and motivate teams.

Due to ongoing and upcoming projects, we’re seeking an experienced Civil Engineer - ideally a seasoned Sydney Water Engineer - to join our office & site team and lead civil groundworks and services delivery.

About the role*

This is a hands-on, site-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being on the ground where the action happens.

This is a hands-on, site-based role supporting multiple projects. You’ll work closely with Project Managers to ensure smooth project delivery from start to handover. The role is predominantly night shift for the next 6 months but will vary over time.

Experience required

2-3 years’ experience as a Civil Engineer

Seasoned experience with Sydney Water and drainage projects highly preferred

Trade or tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar

Proven leadership and man-management skills

Strong organisational and time management abilities

Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work well under pressure

High competency in OH&S standards
