Job summary

Hampton Park Early Learning & Montessori is seeking a dedicated Cook to plan and prepare nutritious meals for children within a Montessori and early learning setting in Hampton Park, VIC. The role blends cooking with supporting educators and daily routines, combining culinary skills with early childhood care.

You will cater for allergies and dietary requirements, follow food safety procedures, and help create safe, inclusive mealtime experiences while building strong relationships with children

Qualifications

• Relevant cooking qualifications or demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in an early childhood setting.
• Experience preparing balanced meals and catering for allergies and special dietary requirements.
• Food safety and food handling training, or willingness to obtain.
• Understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Framework.

About you

• Relevant cooking qualifications or demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in an early childhood setting
• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent, for the educator component of the role
• Experience preparing balanced meals and catering for allergies and special dietary requirements
• Food safety and food handling training, or willingness to obtain
• Current Victorian Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training, or willingness to obtain
• Understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Framework
