Job summary

Metro Masonry Contractors Pty Limited on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Bricklayer to join our team. You will carry out brick, block and masonry construction across residential and commercial projects, reading plans to determine material needs and ensuring safety and quality on site.

We value a Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying or 3+ years of bricklaying experience, ability to work with a team, and precise workmanship.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying or equivalent trade qualification.
• 3+ years of bricklaying experience for candidates without the qualification.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair brick, block, stone and masonry structures in accordance with project plans and specifications.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and measurements to determine material requirements and job scope.
• Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks and other masonry materials using appropriate mortars and adhesives.
• Carry out masonry repairs, alterations and restoration work as required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with building codes and project procedures.
