You will read plans, plan daily tasks, coordinate materials and communicate with builders, clients and management while maintaining a safe, organised site.
If you are hands-on, lead by example and take pride in quality workmanship, join a growing team that values teamwork and accountability.
At Brick Block and Mortar, we take our work seriously, but we don't believe that means taking ourselves too seriously.
We're a growing bricklaying business working across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, specialising in residential, commercial and insurance projects.
We're big on quality workmanship, communication and reliability. But just as importantly, we're big on building a team where people are respected, supported and actually enjoy turning up to work.
We work hard, have a laugh and get the job done. Simple as that.
We're looking for an experienced bricklaying foreman who can lead a crew, keep jobs running smoothly and take ownership of delivering quality work.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who knows their trade, can think ahead and enjoys bringing out the best in their team.
You'll Be:
Leading and working alongside a crew of bricklayers and labourers.
Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and construction details.
Planning daily tasks, allocating work and keeping the crew productive.
Overseeing brick and blockwork to ensure quality, accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinating materials, equipment and site requirements to keep jobs moving.
Communicating with builders, clients and management on job progress.
Identifying and resolving onsite issues before they become bigger problems.
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised worksite.
Taking ownership of job quality, timelines and team performance.
We're not expecting perfection, but there are a few things we value and need:
Leadership: You lead by example, support your crew and know how to get the best out of people without unnecessary egos.
Reliability: You show up on time, communicate clearly and do what you say you'll do.
Initiative: You think ahead, solve problems and take ownership without needing someone looking over your shoulder.
Work Ethic: You're hands‑on, productive and aren't afraid to get stuck in alongside your team.
Attitude: You're respectful, approachable and contribute to a positive team environment.
Experience: You're a qualified bricklayer with solid experience in brick and blockwork, confident reading plans and managing onsite works.
Organisation & Detail Oriented: You can plan ahead, manage your crew and keep jobs running efficiently without compromising quality.
A genuinely good crew: Lead a team where people have your back, respect each other and know how to have a laugh.
Room to grow: We're a growing business with opportunities to develop your leadership skills, take on more responsibility and increase your earning potential.
Variety: From new builds to renovations and insurance repairs, we keep things interesting and moving.
Pride in your work: Take ownership of quality projects and lead a crew that cares about doing the job properly.
A supportive environment: You'll have the backing of management, clear communication and a team that works together to get things done.
Real responsibility: We trust our foremen to make decisions, lead their teams and take ownership of their projects.
If you're an experienced bricklayer who enjoys leading a team, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a growing business that values you as a person, not just another number, we'd love to hear from you.
