Job summary

St Coco Cafe on Brisbane's south side is seeking an experienced casual barista to join our busy team. This role involves delivering quality coffee and warm customer service during peak times, with 25+ hours per week and weekend availability.

Ideal candidates are confident on the machine, calm under pressure, and eager to contribute to a friendly cafe culture. There are opportunities for additional front-of-house shifts and growth within the business.

Qualifications

• Experience as a barista in a fast-paced café.
• Solid espresso workflow and milk texturing skills.
• Friendly, reliable attitude and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consistently high-quality coffee during busy service periods.
• Manage coffee workflow and maintain a clean, organised bar.
• Deliver warm, professional customer service and take counter orders.
• Make cold beverages, fresh juices and acai bowls.
• Assist with front of house service when required.
• Work closely with a supportive, experienced team.

Experienced Casual Barista / Café All-Rounder
25+ hours per week | Opportunity for additional shifts

St Coco Cafe is an established, community-focused café located on Brisbane’s south side, known for specialty coffee, all-day breakfast and warm customer service.

We’re looking for an experienced casual barista to join our team. This role is ideal for someone confident on the machine, use to a busy cafe environment, calm under pressure, and passionate about creating quality coffee and genuine customer experiences.

There is also the opportunity for additional hours through front of house and all-rounder shifts for the right person.

Weekend availability is essential (Saturday + Sunday) and also early morning starts 6am onwards.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing consistently high-quality coffee during busy service periods

• Managing coffee workflow and maintaining a clean, organised bar

• Delivering warm, professional customer service- taking counter orders

• Making cold beverages, fresh juices and acai bowls

• Assisting with front of house service when required

• Working closely with a supportive, experienced team

What We’re Looking For

• Previous barista experience in a fast-paced café

• Strong milk texturing and espresso workflow skills

• Friendly, positive and reliable attitude

• Able to multitask and work efficiently under pressure

• Team player with strong communication skills

• Weekend availability is essential (Saturday + Sunday)
