Job summary

Bakehouse on Somerville in Winthrop, Perth WA, is looking for an experienced Baker for a full-time night shift. You will mix, mould, proof and bake a range of breads, pastries and savoury items, using commercial bakery equipment and upholding high food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial bakery experience.
• Ability to complete all stages of bakery production from mixing to baking.
• Experience operating commercial bakery equipment.

Responsibilities

• Mixing and preparing doughs and ingredients for production.
• Moulding, shaping and portioning products for baking.
• Proofing and baking breads, pastries and savoury items.
• Operate bakery equipment including mixers, moulders, bun rounders and ovens.
• Maintain high food safety and cleanliness standards.
• Assist with stock control and ingredient ordering.
• Collaborate with the team to improve production efficiency and quality.

We’re a busy, family‑owned bakery in Winthrop, producing a wide range of quality breads, rolls, pastries, sweets and savoury products every day. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a supportive team and is looking for a long‑term opportunity in a bakery that values quality, consistency and continuous improvement.

About the role

• Mixing and preparing doughs
• Moulding and shaping products
• Proofing and baking
• Producing breads, rolls, pastries, sweets and savoury items to a consistently high standard
• Operating commercial bakery equipment, including mixers, moulders, bun rounders, proofers and ovens
• Maintaining high food safety and cleanliness standards
• Assisting with stock control and ingredient ordering
• Working collaboratively with the team to improve production, quality and efficiency
