Hanes Australasia is seeking a proactive Financial Accountant to join the Expense Accounting team in our Kew office, Melbourne. You will deliver month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis while partnering with marketing stakeholders to provide guidance and support.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
• A degree in Accounting or Finance
• CA/CPA qualification (or currently working towards completion)
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
• A proactive, continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver month-end accounting and reporting activities in line with corporate deadlines
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities
• Partner with stakeholders across the business, particularly marketing teams, to provide financial guidance and support
• Assist with audit requirements and compliance obligations
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the finance function
• Provide clear and meaningful financial insights to support business decision-making

We're looking for a proactive Accountant to join our Expense Accounting team and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis and strong business partnering support. Based in our Kew Office, this permanent full-time opportunity offers exposure across a large, complex organisation and the chance to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What will I be doing?

Reporting to the Expense Accounting Lead, you will:
