Job summary

Movement Matters Therapy is expanding its allied health team in Alice Springs / Mparntwe, Central Australia. We seek an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to deliver personalised services across chronic, neurological, rehabilitation and mental health programs, including hydrotherapy and reformer Pilates, within clinic and community settings.

Relocation assistance of $7,000, a $5,000 retention bonus at 2 years, and ongoing annual bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• ESSA accreditation or eligibility.
• First Aid and CPR.
• Ochre Card and National Police Check.
• Open driver’s license.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized, functional and goal-focused services to a diverse caseload.
• Manage chronic health conditions, neurological conditions, disability and rehabilitation needs.
• Include healthy ageing, falls prevention, injury and pain management, hydrotherapy and reformer Pilates.
• Provide mental health programs and occasional remote community outreach.
• Collaborate across clinic, community settings and hydrotherapy facilities; participate in growth of services.

About Movement Matters Therapy:

Movement Matters Therapy provides Exercise Physiology, Paediatric Physiotherapy, Allied Health Assistance and Hydrotherapy services across Central Australia.

Our approach is trauma-informed, culturally aware and person-centred, with a strong focus on improving access to allied health in regional and remote communities.

The Role:

You’ll deliver individualised, functional and goal-focused services across a diverse caseload, including:

• Chronic health conditions

• Neurological conditions and disability

• Pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation

• Healthy ageing and falls prevention

• Injury and persistent pain

• Mental health programs

• Hydrotherapy

• Reformer Pilates

• Occasional remote community outreach

• You’ll work across our clinic, community settings and hydrotherapy facilities.

About You:

You are an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with ESSA accreditation (or eligibility) who values trauma-informed, culturally safe and person-centred practice.

You are adaptable, curious and motivated, and ready to make a genuine difference.

Essential:

• ESSA accreditation or eligibility
  First Aid and CPR
  Ochre Card and National Police Check
  Open driver’s licence
  Strong communication and documentation skills

• Desirable:

• NDIS or WorkCover experience
  Chronic disease experience
  Rural or remote health experience — not essential, we’ll support you!
