Job summary
Uniting AgeWell Limited in Victoria/Tasmania seeks an Exercise Physiologist to join our multidisciplinary team delivering services to older adults in centre-based programs, including individual and group sessions. You will assess, design and deliver evidence-based exercise programs and health education funded through My Aged Care or home care packages.
The role emphasizes enhancing client wellbeing, independence and autonomy.
Qualifications
- ESSA accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist.
- Experience in completing physical assessments and developing care plans.
- Experience running group exercise programs (strength, balance, Pilates).
- Experience in Aged Care or Community Sectors is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- High level organisational skills and computer literacy.
Responsibilities
- Provide Exercise Physiology services to older adults in centre-based programs.
- Assess and deliver evidence-based exercise programs and health education.
- Deliver services funded via My Aged Care or home care packages.
- Work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team to maximise client independence.
