Job summary

MS Plus is seeking an Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our experienced Allied Health team in Lidcombe. You will deliver high-quality exercise physiology services to individuals with MS and other neurological conditions across clinic, home, and telehealth settings.

The role offers full-time fixed-term maternity leave cover with potential to transition to an ongoing position. Experience in disability services and NDIS documentation is advantageous.

Qualifications

• AEP credential required.
• Experience in assessments and goal-oriented exercise prescription.
• Experience with disability and neurological conditions.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Current driver license.
• NDIS/Home Care Packages experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small-group exercise physiology sessions in clinic, home, or telehealth.
• Develop individual exercise plans and conduct assessments.
• Work within a multidisciplinary neurology team.
• Deliver services to people living with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions.
• Prepare reports for NDIS, HCP and funding bodies with progression updates.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our experienced and friendly Allied Health team on a full-time fixed-term contract (maternity leave cover). Based at our Lidcombe Wellbeing Centre (NSW), you will provide high-quality exercise physiology services to people living with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions across clinic, community, home and telehealth settings. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly experienced multidisciplinary neurological team while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. There is also potential for this role to transition to an ongoing position, subject to organisational requirements and service demand.

• Full Time (or part time contract at a minimum of 4 days per week) until October 2027
• Location: Lidcombe with centre and community/home-based visits across surrounding suburbs.

What does your role include:

• Providing exercise physiology sessions to clients one-on-one or small groups within a brand-new specialised gym/clinic setting or in the client’s home or by telehealth
• Providing individual exercise physiology assessments and developing individual exercise plans
• Work in a multidisciplinary clinic including a team of exercise physiologists, physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists and range of other services
• Delivering service to people living with multiple sclerosis and neurological conditions
• Writing comprehensive reports (including NDIS, HCP, and other funding bodies), providing updates on progression against individual goals and providing clinical justification
• Be supported by a Not-for-Profit organisation that prioritises the wellbeing of their clients

We seek a self-motivated individual with:

• Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) with Exercise and Sports Science Australia
• Experience in assessments and goal-oriented program development/exercise prescription.
• Experience in providing exercise physiology support to people with a disability, in particular neurological conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Current Driver License
• Experience working within the NDIS, Home Care Packages and community health settings will be highly regarded.
