Metro South Health is seeking an Executive Support Officer for Princess Alexandra Hospital. You will provide high-level, confidential administrative support in Executive Services, working with Directors and senior teams to keep priorities moving and information well organized.

You’ll manage meetings, agendas and minutes, coordinate correspondence and diaries, and help with recruitment activities, ensuring accuracy and professionalism across PAH and Metro South Health.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing meeting secretariat support, including agendas and minutes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office, database, document and electronic records management skills.
  • Excellent written communication, proofreading and document preparation skills.
  • Strong organisation and time management, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.

Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential executive support, including high-quality documents, records and briefing materials.
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas and minutes while providing effective meeting secretariat support.
  • Manage correspondence, electronic diaries, enquiries and documentation within required timeframes.
  • Liaise with teams across PAH and Metro South Health to coordinate information and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate and proofread correspondence, reports, procedures, registers and other key documents.
  • Support recruitment activities including shortlisting, interview coordination and documentation.

Executive Support That Makes a Difference in Princess Alexandra Hospital

Provide high-level executive support at Princess Alexandra Hospital, working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to keep priorities moving and make a meaningful contribution to healthcare services.

Your New Role

As an Executive Support Officer, you'll provide high-level, confidential administrative and executive support within Executive Services at Princess Alexandra Hospital. You'll work closely with Directors, Executives and teams across PAH and Metro South Health, using your organisational skills, initiative and attention to detail to ensure information, meetings, correspondence and key business activities are managed efficiently and professionally.

  • Coordinate meetings, agendas and minutes while providing effective meeting secretariat support.

About you

We're looking for an organised, proactive and highly capable administration professional who can confidently work in a fast-paced executive environment. You'll bring excellent communication skills, sound judgement and a strong commitment to confidentiality, accuracy and customer service, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience providing meeting secretariat support, including agendas and minutes.

  • Experience within an executive office or hospital/operational environment will be highly regarded.

Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre, providing care in all major adult specialties to patients throughout Queensland and Australia, except for obstetrics. We are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres, providing Clinical Service Capability Framework (CSCF) Level 6 services, with approximately 1,033 beds and bed alternatives.

PAH is nationally recognised for expertise in trauma management, and we are a major transplantation centre for livers, kidneys, bone, cartilage, and corneas. We also have responsibility for a number of state-wide services including Queensland Liver Transplant Service, Queensland Tissue Bank, Queensland Spinal Cord Injury Service.
