Job summary

Marsh seeks a principal-level executive rewards professional to lead consulting engagements on governance, pay design and board interactions from Sydney or Melbourne. The role is hybrid, requiring at least three days per week in the office, with emphasis on delivering client-focused advice and credible governance solutions.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical expertise in executive reward
• Experience advising boards or remuneration committees directly
• Experience in a consulting environment or senior internal role
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced user of Excel, with willingness to learn new systems

Responsibilities

• Independently lead consulting projects for clients, including diagnosis frameworks and methodologies for executive and non-executive reward needs, and lead the delivery team
• Advise and engage with boards, remuneration committees and executive teams on pay and governance structures
• Contribute to business development with Markets & Growth and Solutions & Client Value activity
• Develop and apply new methods and improvements to strengthen Mercer’s intellectual capital
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships and attend board meetings as needed
• Support team capability through coaching and knowledge sharing
• Shift toward governance and client relationship management as data/AI handles analysis
