The Executive Officer (EO) is responsible for providing timely, effective, high-level and confidential secretarial, administrative, project and related support services to the Executive Director and contributes to the efficient overall functioning of the Aboriginal Health & Workforce department. The position acts as a primary point of contact for both internal and external clients and vendors.
The EO is required to fulfil secretariat duties for various committees. This involves the compilation and distribution of agenda papers, recording and transcribing of minutes, development of action item logs following-up on action Items and obtaining sign-off of minutes from the chair.
The EO is responsible for the effective management of the Aboriginal Health portfolio, administrative management of functions that deliver a full range of office services to the Senior Management Aboriginal health, including matters relating to executive correspondence, diary management, meeting coordination, travel, procurement and administration.
The position is also responsible for allocated fleet vehicles. The position will also provide support for the Executive Director and other officers across a range of projects as required.
