As an Executive Manager, Data & AI Risk within Group Audit, you'll lead independent assurance across one of Westpac’s most strategically important and rapidly evolving risk portfolios. Working within the Technology, Data, Digital and AI Risk team, you'll provide oversight and assurance across key data and AI risk domains including data governance, data quality, data lineage, metadata management, AI governance, responsible AI, machine learning, generative AI, model risk management, and AI‑enabled decisioning. You'll shape audit strategy and coverage across the portfolio, ensuring assurance activities remain aligned to emerging risks, regulatory expectations, technological change, and business priorities. Working closely with senior business, technology, data and risk leaders, you'll deliver insight‑led assurance, identify thematic and emerging risks, and influence improvements to the Group’s control environment. This is a permanent, full‑time role based in Sydney or Melbourne or Brisbane, with hybrid working arrangements, offering the opportunity to influence executive and board‑level decision‑making while helping shape the future of Data and AI assurance across the Group.
Experience within first and/or second line risk functions, as well as Data, AI, or Risk-related certifications, will be highly regarded.
