Westpac Group in Sydney is seeking a Director, Data & Intelligence - Legal to shape data, analytics and intelligence strategy across Legal functions. You will partner with Legal leaders to translate priorities into scalable tech solutions and ensure data is trusted and compliant.
The role leads production-ready GenAI, retrieval, agents, workflows and system integrations, while providing hands-on guidance and governance across the full lifecycle.

As Director, Data & Intelligence - Legal, you'll support the strategy, execution and evolution of data, analytics and intelligence capabilities across some of the bank's most important functions. You will partner with Legal leaders and subject-matter experts to ensure data is trusted, accessible and transformed into insights that drive better outcomes that deliver high-value opportunities that improve legal service delivery, productivity, decision-making and control.
Additionally, you'll lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable and production-ready solutions, including GenAI, retrieval, agents, workflow automation, APIs and system integrations. You will provide technical leadership across the full solution lifecycle while remaining hands-on when required to build, productionise and troubleshoot solutions.
You will ensure all data, automation and AI solutions comply with enterprise security, privacy, Responsible AI, risk and governance requirements. By partnering across Legal, DDAI, Technology, Data, Architecture, Security and Risk, you will drive measurable value, strengthen controls and support the safe, scalable reuse of enterprise capabilities.
