Job summary

Council Jobs is seeking an Executive Group Manager, Wellbeing, Governance and Policy Capability in Canberra. This Senior Executive role leads the Wellbeing branch and Cabinet, Assembly and Government Business Branch within the Policy and Cabinet Division, driving policy development and governance across the ACT Government.

The successful candidate will work with Ministers’ offices and other executives, manage competing priorities to meet deadlines, and contribute to public service values.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are highly regarded (for example, economics, management, public policy or law).

Responsibilities

• Leads the Wellbeing branch and Cabinet, Assembly and Government Business Branch within the Policy and Cabinet Division.
• Identifies, develops and collaborates with stakeholders on key policy and governance issues and government opportunities.
• Reports to the Deputy Director-General, Policy and Cabinet and collaborates with Ministers’ offices, other Executives and ACTPS officers.
• Communicates policy initiatives to stakeholders in collaboration with the Strategic Communication Group.
• Demonstrates outstanding leadership, relationship management, strategic and communications skills and manages complex policy delivery.
