Job summary

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort & Sunshine Coast Convention Centre is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our main kitchen and play a key role in our broader culinary operation. You will oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure high standards across quality, presentation and service.

You’ll work closely with the Executive Chef and the wider Food & Beverage leadership team, supporting events, banquets and major functions while driving menu development and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior kitchen leadership.
• Strong knowledge of food safety HACCP and WHS.
• Experience in hotel, resort, events or high-volume kitchens.
• Excellent leadership and people development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the main kitchen operation across preparation, production and service.
• Oversee food quality, presentation and consistency across all services.
• Lead, coach and develop the culinary team.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef and F&B leadership.
• Support delivery of conferences, weddings and large events.
• Contribute to menu development and guest experience.
