A government agency for state development is seeking an Executive General Manager, Investment & Portfolio Management. The Opportunity

This is your chance to set the strategic direction for a multi-billion-dollar development pipeline spanning housing, infrastructure and precinct projects. In this leadership role as the Executive General Manager, Investment & Portfolio Management, you will engage Government and the private sector to identify new project opportunities and assess these in line with financial and strategic priorities.

• Shape and deliver a portfolio strategy that drives growth, innovation, and community benefit.
• Originate and secure major projects through strong partnerships with government and the private sector.
• Oversee high-value transactions - acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and complex development agreements.
• Lead the development and implementation of portfolio strategies to identify, evaluate, and prioritise opportunities across a diverse range of housing, infrastructure and precinct development projects.
• Provide strategic advice at Board and CEO level, ensuring all investment decisions are backed by rigorous financial modelling and risk and opportunity assessment.
• Build a high-performing team with deep expertise in project origination, commercial structuring, revised development strategies for existing assets, planning and environmental and social impact.

What You Bring

• 15+ years’ experience in development, investment management and/or origination.
• Tertiary degree or higher qualification in relevant fields.
• Proven commercial and financial acumen, with experience in complex deal-making.
• A deep understanding of government priorities, market drivers, and stakeholder engagement at the highest level.
• Strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver both policy objectives and commercial outcomes.
• Track record leading senior teams, building a high-performance culture, and delivering complex, high-value property and investment projects
