Job summary

Western Sydney Local Health District seeks an Executive Director of Operations to lead clinical operations and performance across the District. You will report to the Chief Executive and guide strategic and operational plans, policy development and service design to drive world-class care.

The role oversees hospitals and health services through 12 direct reports, elevating performance with a $2.9bn budget while collaborating with NSW Health and diverse partners to deliver patient-centred care

Qualifications

Senior-level leadership experience in a large, complex health service organisation.
Proven capability to deliver strategic and operational plans across district-wide operations.
Strong governance, financial acumen and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic advice to the Chief Executive, executive team and the Board.
Lead and deliver district-wide strategic and operational plans, policy development and service design.
Provide executive leadership and oversight of hospitals and health services across the District.
Elevate financial and operational performance with responsibility for a multi-billion budget.
Manage diverse stakeholder relationships with clinicians, academics, NGOs, and government partners.
