Job summary

Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria is seeking an Executive Director, Emergency Management Technology and Data to lead EMT&D and drive policy priorities for the emergency sector.

The role reports to the CEO of Emergency Management Victoria, guiding strategy, delivery of digital platforms, data insights, and program leadership across the department and partners. A senior leader with a track record in government tech programs is required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing technology programs and teams in a dynamic environment.
• Strategic planning, negotiation and stakeholder management in large enterprises.
• Experience delivering large IT/communications initiatives through full life cycle.
• Knowledge of Victorian Government processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EM Technology and Data business unit, working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, and executive team to achieve high standards of performance, accountability, collaboration, ethics and integrity; manage the allocation of resources, budgets, business and project planning and reporting; and demonstrate a strong commitment to a positive culture and the development of staff.
• Lead the direction and delivery of the work program for the EM Technology and Data business unit in line with Government priorities and DJCS Emergency Management strategic direction and business plan.
• Oversight of the development and implementation of timely and high-quality reporting on operational coordination services, outcomes and inputs that meets the needs of the ERV and EMV Chief Executives, Emergency Management Commissioner, Executive Management and government.
