Job summary

Australian Department of Employment and Workplace Relations – Bondi NSW is seeking a Director, Digital Platform Support to lead the delivery, performance and continuous improvement of critical enterprise platforms, including API management and identity services.

Reporting to the Assistant Secretary, this role will manage multidisciplinary teams, drive Agile practices, govern risk, and partner with senior stakeholders across government to ensure stable, secure and scalable digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for delivery, operation and continuous improvement of critical digital platform services (API management, Client Identity access management, branch PI planning governance).
• Ensure platform services are stable, secure, compliant and responsive to business and user needs.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, set direction and foster a high-performance service culture.
• Oversee governance, risk management and assurance activities to support decision-making and alignment with policies and security obligations.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders across the department and partner agencies to achieve outcomes.
• Advise executives on platform performance, risks, investment priorities and future capability needs.
• Manage resources to deliver outcomes in a changing, high-demand environment.
• Drive service maturity and innovation through Agile delivery, automation and modern cloud tech.
