Job summary

Westpac Group in Sydney or Melbourne seeks an Executive Director, Digital Assets Platform Manager to shape our digital payments and transaction banking future. You will own a reusable platform enabling multiple products across the bank, defining platform strategy and roadmaps.

Based in Australia, this executive role requires senior leadership, governance, and collaboration with technology, risk, legal and compliance to deliver compliant, scalable digital asset capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading strategy and complex delivery within institutional banking.
• Knowledge of digital assets, tokenisation, stablecoins and distributed ledger technologies in regulated settings.
• Translate strategy into platform direction, investment cases and executable roadmaps.
• Partner with technology, risk, legal and compliance teams to deliver compliant initiatives.
• Executive presence and influence, with ability to simplify complexity and guide decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Define platform strategy, consumer integration, service measures and roadmap.
• Translate strategy into clear roadmaps and drive portfolio from concept to scaled delivery.
• Ensure governance, investment discipline and executive decision-making across initiatives.
• Engage senior leaders across the Group and represent Westpac with industry partners and regulators.
• Balance innovation with regulatory credibility to deliver real customer outcomes.
