Job summary

Westpac, based in Sydney or Melbourne, seeks an accomplished Digital Assets Platform Manager. You will shape the platform strategy for digital payments and transaction banking, delivering a reusable platform used by multiple products and internal clients across Global Transaction Services.

This executive role offers enterprise-wide accountability and a clear roadmap from concept to scaled delivery. You will collaborate with technology, risk, legal and compliance teams to ensure innovation stays

Qualifications

• Experience leading strategy and complex delivery in institutional banking or payments.
• Strong knowledge of digital assets, tokenisation, stablecoins and DLT in regulated settings.
• Ability to translate strategy into clear platform directions and roadmaps.
• Proven collaboration with technology, risk, legal and compliance teams to deliver compliant initiatives.
• Executive presence with ability to lead in ambiguity.
• Ability to define service outcomes: availability, latency, throughput, recovery, data quality.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture and operations on feasibility and delivery.
• Own operational readiness and incident learning.

Responsibilities

• Define platform strategy and roadmap for transactional banking assets.
• Lead a portfolio of initiatives from concept to scaled delivery.
• Ensure governance, investment discipline and executive decision-making.
• Engage risk, legal, compliance and technology teams to balance innovation with regulation.
• Represent Westpac with industry partners and regulators.
