Job summary

Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure NSW – Sydney CBD NSW – is seeking an Executive Director Commercial to lead the Bays West program's commercial strategy, major transactions and market engagement to deliver lasting public value.

Reporting to the CEO, you will advise on land transfers, project delivery agreements, leasing and planning arrangements, and collaborate across NSW Government and industry to manage risk and drive the precinct renewal.

Qualifications

• Senior executive leadership experience in complex, politically and commercially sensitive environments.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including major transactions, feasibility and commercial structures.
• The ability to provide authoritative advice on complex commercial, financial, risk and governance matters.
• Highly developed negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills across government and industry.
• A strong track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and managing competing priorities to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Sound judgement, integrity and resilience in complex, sensitive and high-profile environments.
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, with extensive knowledge and experience in commercial strategy, property development and the delivery of complex commercial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial strategy for the Bays West program and major transactions.
• Structure and execute major transactions; engage with market and developers.
• Provide authoritative advice on land transfers, delivery agreements, leasing and planning arrangements.
