Job summary

Calvary Lenah Valley and Calvary St John's Hospitals seek an accomplished Director of Clinical Services to lead clinical services across two campuses. You will shape clinical strategy, drive practice improvements and ensure high-quality, patient-centred care within a complex private hospital setting in Tasmania.

You will provide visible executive leadership, oversee governance and workforce performance, and work with senior leaders to advance models of care and service development.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA or equivalent
• Substantial senior clinical and nursing leadership experience in complex acute healthcare environments
• Experience leading large clinical workforces and building capable leadership teams
• Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality, patient safety, risk and accreditation
• Experience in service improvement, organisational change and models of care development
• Ability to contribute to strategic, workforce and investment decisions

Responsibilities

• Provide executive clinical leadership across both hospitals and foster a patient-centred culture
• Lead quality, safety and performance of clinical services across a broad acute care environment
• Oversee clinical labour management within KPI frameworks
• Develop contemporary models of care and drive service improvement and evidence-based practice
• Build an engaged clinical workforce with focus on leadership development and succession
• Maintain clinical governance, risk, infection prevention and accreditation frameworks
• Collaborate with executives and external stakeholders to strengthen service delivery and outcomes
• Contribute to hospital strategy, planning, workforce priorities and capital investment
