Job summary

Chandler Macleod in Canberra is seeking an experienced EL2 Director Budgets and Reporting to provide strategic leadership across budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and financial management.

Reporting to the CFO, you will drive financial sustainability, deliver high‑quality budget outcomes, mentor a finance team and advise senior executives on financial strategy.

This role operates in a dynamic environment, shapes national programs and requires NV1 security clearance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in budget management, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable guidance for executives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership across large teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of budget strategies and financial plans.
• Provide strategic financial advice and insights to senior executives.
• Oversee budgeting, reporting and forecasting processes and governance.

• Identify and mitigate budget risks while ensuring financial integrity.
