Job summary

Chandler Macleod in Werribee seeks a Finance Officer to support budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial operations in a busy local government setting. The contract runs from now until 17 December 2026 with an immediate start, offering exposure to quarterly forecasts, month-end processes and compliance activities.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting and substantial experience across budgeting, forecasting, taxation, cash management and auditing.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting or related discipline with substantial experience.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, internal/external reporting, taxation, cash management and auditing.
• Sound knowledge of ATO requirements and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Review and process financial information for accuracy and compliance in line with organisational requirements.
• Prepare, run and review financial reports; monitor financial performance with Coordinators and Service Leads.
• Assist with quarterly forecasts; analyse expenditure against budget and update forecasts.
