Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is recruiting for an EL2 Director Budgets and Reporting within a high-profile Australian Federal Government program. This leadership role reports to the CFO and will drive budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and management across the program.

You will lead a team, provide trusted advice to senior executives and oversee budgeting processes, ensuring financial sustainability and quality outcomes in a dynamic, governance-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of budget management strategies and financial plans.
• Provide strategic financial advice, analysis and insights to executive stakeholders.
• Oversee internal and external budget processes, reporting and forecasting activities.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to senior leadership and governance committees.
• Identify, manage and mitigate budget risks while ensuring compliance and financial integrity.
• Enable effective financial business partnering across the organisation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across budgeting and reporting functions.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team to achieve financial and operational outcomes.
