Job summary

FiveSeven Consulting Pty Ltd on behalf of a client seeks a Director of Clinical Services to join the executive team on the Central Coast. The role leads clinical governance, quality, risk, compliance and care delivery across residential aged care and at-home services.

Reporting to the CEO and Board, you will drive accreditation readiness, policy oversight, and strategic improvements, shaping person-centred care and safe service delivery in a changing aged care environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN registration with the NMBA, without conditions that prevent practice.
• Substantial senior clinical leadership experience in aged care or highly regulated care environments.
• Expertise in clinical governance, accreditation, incident management, complaints and continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of aged care legislation, standards and regulatory expectations.
• Executive or senior leadership experience in a complex service setting.
• Strong governance, risk management and decision-making capability.
• Ability to lead change and translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
• High-level communication, stakeholder engagement and Board reporting skills.
• Sound judgement, integrity and ability to handle sensitive matters.
• Postgraduate qualification in clinical governance/health management is highly regarded.
• Current National Criminal Record Check or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for clinical care, quality and safety across service streams.
• Strengthen the organisation-wide clinical governance framework.
• Provide expert clinical advice to CEO, Board and Executive Team.
• Oversee clinical policies, standards, assurance systems and quality reporting.
• Lead accreditation readiness and regulatory engagement.
• Oversee clinical risks, incidents, complaints and reportable events.
• Use audit findings to set priorities and drive improvements.
• Set organisation-wide priorities for clinical education and competency.
• Support clinical leaders to maintain person-centred models of care.
• Partner with operations to align clinical requirements with workforce and service delivery.
