Job summary

Novotel Perth Murray Street in Perth is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary direction of Miss Mi and the hotel dining portfolio. You will own the culinary strategy and drive performance across conferencing, events and restaurant service.

You will inspire and develop Heartists in the kitchen, ensure outstanding quality and creativity, and manage food cost, purchasing, margins and productivity to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef or senior culinary leader in quality hospitality.
• Genuine Pan-Asian expertise with knowledge of flavours, ingredients and techniques.
• Strong financial acumen with P&L, food cost, labour and margins responsibility.
• Solid knowledge of food safety, HACCP and kitchen compliance.
• People-first leadership with experience developing talent and building high-performing teams.
• Commercial Cookery qualifications or equivalent credentials.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the culinary direction of Miss Mi and hotel dining across conferencing, events and restaurant service.
• Lead, inspire and develop Heartists, creating a high-performing kitchen culture.
• Drive quality, consistency and creativity across all dining outlets and hotel events.
• Own the numbers—food cost, labour, purchasing, margins and productivity.
• Develop menus balancing creativity, authenticity and commercial performance.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, HACCP and WHS standards.
